Leading commercial law firm Acuity Legal has won the award for property law firm of the year for the second year running at Insider's Wales Property Awards.
Having scooped the accolade last year, the Cardiff and Swansea based firm was recognised for the big impact it has made on the property industry in Wales again this year through its specialist real estate and construction teams.
The firm was praised for “punching above their weight all day long” according to one of the judges.
The prestigious event celebrates key movers in the property and construction sectors in Wales. This year’s awards ceremony, compered by radio and TV presenter Jason Mohammad, was the biggest Insider property event in Wales since 2008.
As well as winning the award for best law firm, Acuity Legal also shared the award for property deal of the year with Cushman & Wakefield and Emanuel Jones, for the key role it played in the biggest office deal of the year in Wales, with the relocation of Hugh James to Two Central Square, part of the Rightacres development. “It kicks the whole area up to another level”, said one judge.
Partner Jonathan Geen and head of real estate at Acuity Legal said: “These are exciting times in Welsh property and construction and it’s great to see cranes back on the skyline. This year we’ve been involved in major capital projects and funding strategies for regeneration, infrastructure and housing, with some landmark deals signed, developments completed and more flagship schemes in the pipeline.”
“This award cements our national reputation for the strength and depth of our expertise, and reflects the hard work and commitment of everyone in our property and construction teams. We’re thrilled with the recognition for our role in innovative projects designed to safeguard the future prosperity of our communities.”
