Gareth specialises in the acquisition, disposal, letting and funding of real estate including retail, industrial and office properties. Gareth has particular experience of strategic land acquisition and disposal particularly acting for landowners and developers in joint venture and collaboration agreements across England and Wales.

  • Advising Rightacres Property Co Limited on strategic acquisition of Central Square Cardiff - Wales’ largest regeneration project comprised of the £400m Central Square redevelopment including large scale infrastructure and public realm works, a new transport interchange, offices, retail and hotel and the new headquarters for BBC Wales
  • Lead lawyer advising Rightacres Property Co Limited on the acquisition of the land known as One Central Square Cardiff (the key plot that allowed the development of Central Square), the letting of 130,000 sq. ft. of office space in One Central Square and the sale of the investment to a UK pension fund.  
  • Advising Rightacres Property Co Limited on the funding of the Central Square Development with national a pension fund
  • Advising the developer in the sale of land and development of the £42m state of the art Cardiff and Vale College of Further Education. 
  • Lead lawyer acting on behalf of a consortium of landowners in respect of the £60m sale of 300 acres of land to a national house builder.
  • Advising landowners in the sale of land to housing associations including Taff Housing, United Welsh and Hafod Housing Association including advising the developer on VAT aspects of the sale
  • Lead lawyer advising the developer on the acquisition of 250 bed student residential scheme at Fitzalan Court, Cardiff
  • Lead lawyer advising ABP in its key development at Dolffin Quay, Cardiff Bay 


Gareth studied history at the University of Exeter and attended University of the West of England Bristol for his post graduate legal study. Gareth trained at a commercial law firm in Cardiff, and joined Acuity in January 2010, becoming a partner in December 2014
