Professional Background
Jonathan was educated at Oxford University where he gained a degree and masters in Law. After law school he joined the world’s largest law firm, Clifford Chance ,where he spent six years, principally in the real estate team.

Area of Practice
After relocating to Wales in 1998 he became head of Property at Capital Law and joined M&A Solicitors as Head of Property in 2005. Jonathan is recognised in various publications as an expert in Commercial Property and a leader in the Welsh legal sector. He has twice been voted Wales Property Lawyer of the Year. He has also worked on many high profile transactions across England and Wales including 500m Cardiff International Sports Village Cardiff’s largest current development scheme, Cardiff City Stadium development, the development of Callaghan Square, Wales’s most prestigious office scheme, the Welsh Assembly Debating Chamber and Bluestone Holiday Village, Pembrokeshire.

He is currently working on large urban regeneration schemes in Birmingham Manchester and London. He also has a particular interest in affordable housing, technology and urban regeneration projects and has been appointed as a non executive director of various boards of companies (public and private sector) engaged in regeneration schemes and community projects.

In his spare time he enjoys football, tennis and skiing and he is a black belt in Karate.
