Cordelia previously worked and trained as a solicitor at a leading London media and entertainment law firm advising on a wide range of intellectual property matters often for high profile individuals and companies within the television, film, music, theatre and sports industries.
Cordelia was also seconded in-house on several occasions to work with larger corporate clients advising on general commercial matters as well as brand protection and intellectual property more generally. This experience has given Cordelia invaluable experience at providing clients with the most commercial solutions.
Cordelia advises clients in relation to a wide range of both contentious and non-contentious intellectual property matters. On a day-to-day basis she advises clients on how best to exploit their intellectual property rights including drafting licences and assignments as well as advising on the early stages of disputes, particularly in relation to trade marks, copyright and passing off.
Cordelia regularly provides strategic and filing advice to clients in relation to trade mark filings in the UK, EU and internationally in addition to advising clients in relation to bringing and defending third party Oppositions at the UK and EU Intellectual Property Offices. Cordelia advises in relation to the early stages of litigation proceedings involving intellectual property matters as well as drafting and managing complaints through the Company Names Tribunal and disputes in relation to domain names under the Uniform Domain Name Resolution Policy.
