This is an excellent opportunity for a Paralegal / Chartered Legal Executive to join one of Cardiff's leading commercial law firms. The successful applicant will join a team providing proactive business solutions to clients. You will need to have excellent client care skills with the ability to communicate with clients at a senior level, strong technical skills, be IT literate and able to work well under pressure.  An interest in data protection, privacy and cyber security is required.

In the course of the role you will assist with data protection audits, review contracts and review and draft policies and procedures. General commercial law experience would be preferred but is not necessary as training will be given.

An opportunity has arisen for a specialist commercial lawyer to join Acuity’s team.  The role will primarily focus on commercial agreements including IP agreements, software licenses, development agreements, agency and distribution contracts, consultancy agreements, outsourcing and joint venture agreements and will support the firm’s Acuity Counsel clients.  There will also be the opportunity, depending on the candidate’s experience to undertake commercial work for local authorities and other public sector bodies.

The successful candidate will have at least three years of relevant post-qualification experience and have excellent drafting and negotiation skills. That experience might have been gained in-house or in private practice.  An interest in business development would be an advantage as there is the opportunity to develop the role within the firm.
